At Filmmakers Ranch in Oklahoma City, the residency isn’t just a place you visit — it’s where you live, work, and create.
We’re building a new kind of film community. Not Hollywood. Not an imitation. Something different. Something authentic. A place where:
✅ You can redefine what the film industry is and what it can become.
✅ You lean into finding your true voice as an artist.
✅ You escape the Hollywood grind — or skip it entirely.
Here, residents live on-site, contribute 20 hours per week helping us maintain the Ranch and create a community environment designed to spark collaboration. You’ll be held accountable by peers and mentors who want to see you succeed in your chosen project (you have to have a project goal when you join us) — and supported by a community that values kindness, creativity, and courage.
The program is guided by Richard Janes, Emmy-winning founder of Filmmakers Ranch, who has worked alongside Oscar-winning screenwriters, globally known actors, filmmakers, and entrepreneurs to help them hone their craft and voice.
